The OTHM Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement enables learners to gain the knowledge, skills and understanding to assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a variety of contexts, such as a workshop, classroom or other training environment. It is closely aligned with the standards for Assessment and Quality Assurance of Assessment. The qualification consists of two mandatory units for a total of 10 credits: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment, and Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding. Learners demonstrate their competence by producing evidence from their work activities. On completion, learners can progress into employment as an assessor or to further qualifications such as the Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
